Rose Works lives in a sunlit studio on the second floor of a converted greenhouse in Portland's Sellwood neighborhood. Surrounded by herbs, papers, and far too many books, it's a space built for slow thinking and careful making.
We're not always behind our desks, but we keep the door open on Friday afternoons for tea, wandering conversation, and the occasional reader meet-up. Drop us a note before stopping by.

Can I republish an article from Rose Works?
Most pieces are available for republication with attribution and a link back. Email us with the article URL and where you'd like to share it. We respond within five business days, usually sooner.
Do you accept guest submissions or pitches?
We accept a small number of guest essays and reported features each season. Send a 200-word pitch, two writing samples, and a line about why Rose Works is the right home for your piece.
How can I sponsor or advertise in the journal?
We work with a handful of aligned partners each year. Reach out with a brief about your brand, your audience, and what you're hoping to build. We'll send our current media kit.
Where can I find back issues or the print edition?
Our entire archive is free online. A small print zine ships twice a year to subscribers. Sign up below to be notified when the next issue goes to press.
